The Sun Also Rises
Ingredients
- 2 ozDry Sparkling Wine (Prosecco or Cava Work Well)
- ¼ oz Absynthe
- ¾ oz Gin
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- ¼ oz simple syrup (1:1 Ratio, Sugar: Water)
- 3 dashes Aromatic bitters
- 1 lemon twist
Tools Needed
- Boston Shaker
- Jigger
- Hawthorne Strainer
- Ice Scoop
- Ice Bucket
- Bar Knife
- Bar Board
- Peeler
- Collins
Instructions
- Pour sparkling wine into Collins glass over ice.
- In a Boston Shaker, combine absinthe, gin, lemon and simple syrup.
- Shake with ice and strain slowly into glass.
- Scrape nutmeg over the top.
- Top with a dash or two of bitters & lemon twist.
